'UpOn Sugar Hill' is a fanciful, multi-sensory experience that engages the viewer with an implied sense of theater. Weekley's use of animal imagery, color, and engaging materials combine to create work with a sense of folklore.This installation has a resonance similar to the rich and deeply ingrained memories of childhood.
Adam Weekley is originally from West Virginia and earned his MFA from University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. He currently teaches at Villa Maria College in Buffalo. Weekley is a 2009 NYFA MARK artist and was featured in 2010's Beyond / In Western NY at both the Castellani Art Museum and Buffalo Arts Studio.
